What are Dermal Fillers?

Lisa uses the The Juvéderm® range, these are natural filers which  include the key ingredient of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). The fillers are injected into the skin, reducing the signs of ageing whilst restoring moisture and volume where required. Dermal Fillers aim to improve skin quality and volume loss over time, providing that all important, subtle enhancement.

What could I achieve with Dermal Fillers?

  • Enhance the lips and create a fuller definition
  • Diminish fine lines and wrinkles such as smoker’s lines (marionette lines)
  • Restore volume in nose to mouth lines (nasolabial folds)
  • Augment and lift the cheeks to restore volume loss
  • Improve the appearance of dark circles & bags.
  • Correct hollow tear troughs (the area under the eye)
  • Smooth wrinkles around the side of the eyes (Crow’s Feet)
  • Define the jawline by creating a lifting effect for the lower portion of the face
  • Add volume to the chin to create a more defined appearance
  • Re-shape the nose (non-surgical nose-job)

What does the treatment involve?

Before your treatment, you will need to have a one to one consultation with Lisa, this will ensure you fully understand the treatment and assess whether you are medically suitable to have treatment.

Local anaesthetic cream can be applied to increase comfort during the treatment, Lidocaine is also contained within the injectables to numb the particular area.

Some patients may experience a mild stinging or burning sensation as the product is injected any discomfort should be minimal due to the anaesthetic.

Injection sites will be massaged to promote even integration of the product into the tissue.

Is the treatment safe?

There are countless fillers on the market and not all of them have clinical trials to support their use, however Hyaluronic Acid (HA) facial filler, such as Juvéderm®   are clinically proven to be higly safe and effective, in the right hands with an experienced aesthetic practitioner such as Lisa.

Dermal fillers are not prescription only medicine, the UK currently lacks any kind of regulation surrounding who is injecting them so it is vital to go to a qualified professional for your treatment to avoid the possible side effects.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment takes no longer than 30 minutes.

How soon will I see results?

Dermal fillers provide results instantly unlike anti-wrinkle injectables, which take a few days to weeks dependent on the individual.
